The Bible, our source of Knowledge |
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
Proverbs 1:7 NKJV
Receive His words,
Treasure His commands,
Incline your ear to wisdom,
Apply your heart to understanding;
Cry out for discernment,
Lift up your voice for understanding,
Seek her (wisdom) as silver,
Search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God.
Proverbs 2:1-5 NKJV

Isn't it a blessing how we were given the "recipe" how to find the knowledge of God?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for another encouraging post. Really enjoy my visits here.
Thank you for visiting! And yes...it's every nice to have the instructions.
DeleteI truly believe the key concept is to fear the Lord; to really grasp what that means. I think once we get that fact of who he truly is and how he should be cherished, revered, esteemed, then everything else falls into place in our lives and we start getting knowledge.

I was listening to John Bevere yesterday. He said the fear of the Lord was to be terrified to be without Him. Kinda made sense to me.
