About Being Under

Upstairs
I work on the second floor of a building that doesn’t have an elevator (yet).  My knee has been acting wonky lately, and this morning, it gave out on me.   I went to work but never made it in, because even after 800mg of ibuprofen, I still couldn’t handle the stairs.    It was a pretty day to be off…but pain is never pretty.   In keeping with my Under theme...I guess my knee is a little "under the weather."

  1. I like the under the chandlier picture; I would never have guessed what that is if you hadn't said anything. So the building is not ADA compliant with no elevator? How did they manage that? Ick on the knee; I feel your pain; I have a "bad" one myself.

    1. They have classrooms in the basement (with a wheelchair accessible entrance) with automatic doors in this bldg, plus a chair lift for anyone who needs to go to other floors.. We are getting elevators this year, just don't know when. All the other bldgs have elevators...do not know why they haven't done anything in my bldg til now.

  2. I'm praying for you to be healed. Feel better soon. I bet they use the "Historical Building" excuse for modification delays such as modern elevator.

    1. I think I hear "lack of funds" more often. We do have a chair lift.

  3. Sorry to hear about the knee issue. I had to give up running due to a knee injury. I was a long-distance runner until I turned 45, and then I cut back due to work. About two years later my right knee made a strong case for giving up altogether - so I could still walk!
This collection of pics are superb; some of your best so far.

    1. Thank you! Sorry about the knee...I guess we'd all choose walking over long distance running. Me? I'd choose a donut over running any day. lolz
