Monday Musings...a little late in the day

  • My first inclination when someone cut me off in traffic, or tried to run over me, was to say “Idiot!”   I'm actually getting a little better about just being thankful that God protects me.
  • Sleep deprivation makes me…well…depraved.    I want to call bad drivers ugly names.
  • It takes so much energy just being me, and I don’t have much left for anything else.
  • My hair, these days, is much like straw…the results of age, methinks. Ding dang birthdays!
  • One-A-Day Multivitamins for Women are big enough to be a horse pill, and just little hard to get down some days.   I haven't even bothered taking one for a long time.
  • I gasp in dismay at my typos.   I laugh at yours…
  • …the same can be said for grammatical errors.
  • I had said "I give up!" when it comes to losing weight.  But, ahhh!  Monday.   I'm at it again.  Low carb.  One day at a time.

  1. I always like your pictures! I'm terrible about typos; I don't read over comments or letters sent, probably because I have to read over all my reports at work :)

Not getting enough sleep can be very hard on the body indeed!

  2. Rosh HaShana, Jewish New Year, is this week. A very good time to start a weight loss campaign...if you ask me. :) I rebooted today. A friend stopped by this morning,; we weighed in, and declared today to be the beginning of our Rosh HaShana weight loss campaign. She's at 286, me at 219. (The call from my MD teling me that I may have thyroid cancer began a gluten/sugar binge that resulted in a 7 pound gain...in a week. yeah. That was helpful.)

I was reading in Isaiah this morning after she left and was so blessed, considering this whole new year- new start thing, to read the verses that begin, "I will do a new thing" :D. Yeah, baby! A new ting is exactly what is needed.

We plan on weighing n every Tuesday. You can come along with us virtually if you lie. :D Of course, we may be raptured this week... (What a wonderful end of a diet THAT would be, huh?)

    :D
