What is really cool about God is when we are in that rubble, he will gently start rebuilding us if we allow him to.

betty
bettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-166270356213105408.post-13477652913941273202016-04-21T08:26:13.693-05:002016-04-21T08:26:13.693-05:00:) Loved this. :)

During that time, one of my favorite scriptures was from Micah and went something like this: Rejoice not against me, O my enemies, for though I fall, I shall arise. And, though I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

I memorized it back then and would often repeat it to myself as I sat on the couch...trying not to die. (Well, that sounds pretty dramatic, doesn't it? :} But it is the truth of that time.) On occasion, that verse still comes to my mind.

This post reminded me of the steadfast and strong love of the Lord, even in our failure. Thanks for this. My little testimony above may not sound very happy, but it brings me great assurance. It reminds me that God is strong enough to hold me. No matter what.

DebAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
